BACKGROUND
Uganda's economy today appears to be suffering the effects of inflation.
Inflation refers to an increase in prices and a fall in the purchasing value of
money. This means you will need more money to buy the same goods.
In last weeks poll, the majority
of the people responding said that they were already feeling the effects of
inflation. In January this year, research analysts from Makerere University
predicted that inflation will rise. As fuel prices rise due to inflation,
transport of goods and people becomes more expensive. Imported goods, like
medicine, airtime and plastics will also see a rise in price. If prices of
goods rise, services like banking fees or professional services will also go
up.
In this poll we would like to
know what would be your first choice if you would have to safe money.
