Do you think the Internet is essential for a better future for Uganda?

Background
In some parts of Uganda, the Internet is changing the way people work, learn and interact. More and more people are getting Internet enabled smart-phones on which they can access the World Wide Web.

While many are mostly using the internet to interact with their friends and family, an increasing number of people are using internet for their businesses.

Internet access also provides some people with access to learning materials from around the world that they would normally not have access to.

The Internet is also used for medical applications by, for example, measuring the heartbeat of a fetus with a telephone and suggesting medical options. Internet can also share and generate agricultural information and for example provide information to help the herdsmen make decisions and plan for the future.

Some say that for the development of Uganda the Internet is as important as clean water, medicine, roads and police stations.
