STA2.1: Did the shut-down of social media during the elections affect you?

Background
Social media was blocked in Uganda on the day of presidential elections. The Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) directed internet and mobile providers to block access to Facebook, Whatsapp and mobile money services, The UCC defended the action with the “sensitivity” of the period and President Yoweri Museveni said it was done to stop people from “telling lies”.
Uganda has more than 2 million active Facebook users and 33% of the population has access to internet or mobile internet (UCC 2015).
