The Electoral Commission is responsible for organizing, conducting and monitoring elections in Uganda. It’s mission is to “organise and conduct regular free and fair elections and referenda professionally, impartially, and efficiently" and to “promote participatory democracy and good governance for the country’s prosperity”. The President appoints the members of the commission.
