Do you think corruption increased in the last 50 years since independence?

Background: Corruption is one of the most serious challenges and obstacles to development. According to Transparency International, Uganda is the most corrupt among the 5 countries in the East African Community. As the jubilee of the 50 years of independence is approaching the John Paul II Justice and Peace Centre together with Radio Pacis in Gulu and Arua, Radio Wa in Lira, Radio Delta in Soroti and Trac Fm is launching an anti-corruption campaign on the 28th of September. As part of this campaign we want to ask the citizens of Uganda a series of questions on this burning issue. Today we present you the third question.


Question: Do you think corruption increased in the last  50 years since independence?
A - Yes, corruption increased a lot!
B - Corruption is a serious problem but it was the same even before independence
C -  Corruption descreased, before it was worse
