There are many methods that can help you with family planning. Although they are all effective, there are also big differences between them: some methods are permanent, some of them are temporary. Some of them have to be used by the man, others by the woman.
 
People may prefer a specific method for any number of reasons. Some methods can be considered more convenient. Sometimes there are medical reasons to prefer one to the other.
