BUDDU NMS 2.1 | What more should duty bearers do to effectively stop SGBV in communities?

Background

Combating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) against women is one of the top priorities of the Ugandan government. Today, we want community members to share their views on how duty bearers can best help in combating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

Question:

What more should duty bearers do to effectively stop SGBV in communities? Choose the most impactful action.

A - Ensure strict enforcement of GBV laws (Hold perpetrators accountable and prevent repeat offenses.)

B - Increase funding for survivor support services – (Provide safe shelters, legal aid, and psychosocial support.)

C - Strengthen police and health response systems  (Improve reporting mechanisms, train officers, and ensure medical care for survivors.)

D - Engage communities in SGBV prevention – (Conduct awareness campaigns and empower local leaders to take action.)

Instructions:
