TRAC FM is reaching into Asia for the first time! We are excited to work with Simavi on a WASH and Covid-19 related campaign in two remote regions of Nepal.
In February 2019, different stakeholders in the TJ fraternity held a stakeholders’ dialogue in which they discussed strategies to promote the implementation of the National Transitional Justice policy. Participants recommended that Members of Parliament should consult their constituents about their expectations towards the NTJ policy
Wottazela 5.0 was launched under the Watershed programme with support of HEWASA and IRC. The goal of this interactive radio campaign was soliciting community voices into priority setting for the 2020/21 Budgeting Process in regards to water, environment and sanitation.
The Voices of Change campaign will bring on a national debate on citizens perspectives of democracy in the run-up to the 2021 general elections in Uganda. At the same time TRAC FM will research how these radio programs affect citizens and communities.
TRAC FM worked with Light for the World (LFTW) on an interactive radio campaign to raise awareness and assess the impact of the coronavirus disease pandemic on the livelihood of persons living with disabilities in Uganda.
In 2019, TRAC FM collaborated with the implementing partners of the Watershed programme in Rwenzori sub-region - HEWASA, Simavi and IRC to raise awareness about water, sanitation and hygiene and collect citizen feedback. This campaign was dubbed Wottazela 3.0. Wottazela 4.0 is a follow-up campaign to build our success in empowering citizens and deepen our learning.
TRAC FM's 5th Wottazela Campaign landed in Kenya! We looked at citizens' perspectives on water provision in Kajiado County in Southern Kenya. Together with partners of the Watershed Programme – Simavi, NIA, KEWASNET, IRC and Akvo - we launched this campaign to understand what local citizens of the Maasai community have to say about Water.
